Hyosung, Korean Company Interested Join in Project of Athlete Guesthouse

As the host of the 2018 Asian Games, Jakarta Provincial Government is about to prepare an athlete guesthouse in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. Besides PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro), Jakarta government also intends to cooperate with private companies.

Deputy Governor of Spatial Planning and Environmental Division, Sylviana Murni disclosed PT Jakpro given the authority to appoint other companies to cooperate in the development and management. Its cooperation will be done in business to business.

"The development and management will be done in business to business between PT Jakpro with other companies," she stated, Saturday (1/10).

Athlete Guesthouse in Kemayoran Prepared for Asian Games 2018

She mentions, one of the Korean company, Hyosung interested in the development of the athlete guesthouse. The company representatives have met with Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama for development proposal. According to her, if the company has committed to take no commission, no corruption, and conduct gratification, they will be involved. Jakarta government itself has sent a letter to the President related to land use in Kemayoran.

There are two locations glimpsed, where the land has a width of 11 hectares and 5 hectares.

"We've sent a letter to Mr. President over land procurement in Kemayoran. There are two locations, but we want they have 11 hectares width. By so, we could accommodate more athletes," she expressed.

Besides offering aid for athlete guesthouse project, Sylviana added, the Korean company also offered cooperation on project of Giant Sea Wall, clean water and trash filter.

"They (Hyosung) are experts in the field of IT. We want it (cooperation), as long as it can be done in business to business," she stressed.
