DTKJ Sambut Baik Pengoperasian Bus Pink Transjakarta

DTKJ Welcomes Operation of Pink Female-Only Buses in Jakarta

Jakarta Transportation Council (DTKJ) welcomes the re-operation of the Transjakarta pink or women-only bus in Corridor 3 (Kalideres - Harmoni).

The existence of the pink bus means increasing comfort options for public transport users

After three years of inactivity, the pink bus is reserved for female passengers who do not feel secure taking public transportation.

"This is one of the efforts to protect women from things that are vulnerable to happen to female passengers, such as sexual harassment on public transport," expressed DTKJ Chairman Haris Muhammadin in writing to beritajakarta.id, Tuesday (7/26).

Transjakarta Returns to Operate Female-Only Buses in Corridor 3

According to him, it gives female passengers a choice, namely using the pink bus or using a regular bus mixed with male passengers.

"Choose whichever is comfortable. Actually, in the Transjakarta SPM, CCTV is also available on the bus which can always monitor all crimes," he explained.

All residents as transport actors want safety, security, and comfort in Jakarta's mass public transportation to be better.

"The existence of the pink bus means increasing comfort options for public transport users, especially female passengers in Jakarta. Hope public transportation will be the main choice for the people of Jakarta," he stated.
