The Jakarta Dept. of Education's step to tighten the requirement of Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) recipient gets fully support from the E Commission of City Council. It is hoped the policy will distribute KJP on target.

"City budget gets additional burden if the KJP is not on target. There might be poor students don't get this aid," said Fahmi Zulfikar, the commission secretary, Sunday (1/11).
According to him, his side will summon city education department to discuss the KJP.

Meanwhile, Executive Director of Jakarta Public Service (JPS), Syaiful Jihad, explained the step to tighten the KJP requirement should not burdening the poor people. It should be the form of transparency.
Based on Statistic Center Board's data, there were 412,790 poor people or 4.09 percent out of total Jakarta citizen.
"The KJP recipients could be 206,395 people if half of total poor people are students," he explained.
By this year, there are 21 requirements to get the KJP fund. Those are not smoking, not skipping, not joining in a gang, have no private house, have no motorcycle, have no rent house, car, business (big store), and must no using fake data.
The requirement is tighten because KJP recipients will also be given to private school students next year.
