724 Occupants of Marunda Flat Incompatible with Domicile

Around 724 households living in the Marunda Flat, Cilincing, North Jakarta, have yet to change the residence administration in accordance with the domicile. Consequently, they threatened to be evicted.

Based on the data of Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Department, until early January 2015, only 1,875 households or 72 percent out of 2,600 households or 6,275 people have been adjusted with the administration with their current domicile. While the rest were given time until January 24, 2015. 

"We will do sweeping it up to 100 percent. Since 2013, as many as 3,196 ID cards belonging the flat residents have been checked through mobile service," said Head of Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Department, Edinson Sianturi, Monday (1/12).

Many Marunda Flat Occupants Have Not Mutated Their ID Cards

To simplify public service, Sianturi disclosed, his department will prepare a mobile population service every weekend. The service was planned to operate until the end of January.

Head of Jakarta Housing and Government Buildings Department, Ika Lestari Aji stated according to the rules, citizens must adjust the population administration in accordance with the domicile. In addition, it is also required to make DKI Bank account as flat rental payment.

"The flat occupants are obligated to pay the rental cost via DKI Bank, but no longer in cash," he asserted.

He added if they have not met the requirement until January 24, the flat will be sealed.
