Ahok to Send Decree Letter to PT JM Regarding Monorail Clarity

In the meeting, I'd asked PT Jakarta Monorail (PT JM) to study the letter and its answer should be this week. We need clarity

Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama is going to send a decree letter related with clarity of the project in the capital.

"In the meeting, I asked my staff to study the letter from PT Jakarta Monorail (PT JM) and its answer should be this week. We want to know what they want," he expressed, when he led an executive meeting at City Hall, Monday (1/12).

September 10, Deadline for PT JM to Fulfill All Requirements

Ahok also insisted on rejecting the monorail depot project on Setiabudi Reservoir and Tanah Abang proposed by PT JM. "The project might be stopped and would be changed with another project. We're currently studying the PT JM's letter thus its legal basis is clear," he disclosed.

When being asked by reporters regarding monorail, he answered, the project cannot be continued. "Definitely, we reject the monorail depot project in Tanah Abang and Setiabudi areas," he asserted.

According to former Regent of East Belitung added such project can still run, yet it must go through tender with submission of a different route.

"The point of the letter is we reject the project from PT JM. If they want to re-build, they must go through tender with different route. Thus, its format could be found out," he stated.
