The Jakarta administration collaborated with bird lovers communities to hold a Jakarta Pre-Governor Cup's Birdsong Contest to welcome the upcoming Indonesia's 77th Independence Day.
It will be held at Taman Lapangan Banteng, Central Jakarta
According to Surharini Eliawati, Agency Head of Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security, those bird lovers communities were Branjes Batavia, B16, NZR, Ebod Jaya, and others.
The contest consisted of the Pre-Governor's Cup which will be held from August 6 to 7, 2022, and the Governor's Cup whose implementation time would be further informed.

During the contest, there would be several classes, as follows:
- Field A: Muray Batu, Cucak Hijau, Lovebird, Kacer, Konin, Crukcukan, and Tledekan
- Field B: Murai Batu Borneo, Anis Merah, Canaries, Jajak Suren, and SRDC (Sikatan Rimba Dada Cokelat)
- Field C: Branjangan Parva and Branjangan Java
