Controlling Illegal Minimarket, Minister Supports Djarot

The Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (Menkop UKM), Agung Ngurah Puspayoga Gedhe, gives support to the plans of Vice Governor of Jakarta, Djarot Saiful Hidayat to shut down the illegal minimarket.

Puspayoga said, the minimarket existence in the capital is also associated with the social economy, so the it must be managed well.

"I support his (Djarot) policy. The unlicensed modern market will be laid for the economy and it is an exceptional policy," said Puspayoga, during his met with Djarot at City Hall, Friday (1/16).

Not only that, he also praised Djarot steps of including the UKM product in minimarket. His side claimed to be ready cooperate in provide training to the UKM, because the UKM products that will be included into minimarket must meet several requirements.

"It gives an opportunity to the UKM product, we support and the results must meet requirements such as hygienic, and there must expiration date content," he added.

Vice Governor of Jakarta, Djarot Saiful Hidajat stated, the cooperation for UKM development will begin this year. His side will record UKM amount and products in the capital. "We will solve the problem of UKM in Jakarta first, we agreed the city to become a pilot project," he stated.

Former Mayor of Blitar mentioned, all UKM will receive training gradually.

"We still inventorying, from there we can choose the best. There is no special UKM, all will get the same. And this is a motivation for them to do their best," he disclosed.
