Met Ahok, DPRD Clarified Stealth Budgets Issue

Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) Head, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi and Vice Chairman of DPRD, Triwisaksana met Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama at City Hall, Monday (1/19). They intend to clarify the media coverage related with stealth budgets findings by Rp 8.8 trillion in the 2015 Draft City Budget (RAPBD). The meeting was held privately in Basuki’s room about 30 minutes.

Marsudi admitted he also did not know it (stealth budget). It is only because misunderstanding, thus the communication between the executive with legislative will be re-intensified in future. "The case broke out in the media, we're surely questioning this. We do not give anything to Jakarta Development Planning Agency (Bappeda)," he expressed.

E. Jakarta Needs to Boost Budget Absorption

Such issue broke out after the postponement of plenary meeting with the agenda of governor's delivering answers on fractions included in the 2015 RAPBD. The meeting is rescheduled on Tuesday (1/20) with the same agenda.

"Tomorrow, we will hold the plenary meeting again. There is no problem actually, just miss communication. Mr. Ahok said there were officials play in the case," he uttered.

As known, Ahok had crossed out unimportant budgets, such as socialization budget for Governor's Decree worth Rp 8.8 trillion. He assessed, there were officials who try to make the stealth budgets.
