165,895 Families in Jakarta Receive First Wave Fuel Oil Cash Assistance

Jakarta Social Agency (Dinsos) has been distributing Direct Fuel Oil Cash Assistance (BLT BBM) from Social Affairs Ministry (Kemensos) in five administrative cities and Seribu Islands Regency in stages since Wednesday (9/7).

Hopefully, it can lighten the needy's burden to meet their daily needs after the fuel price hike

To be on target, officers have been alerted to monitor the distribution of social assistance in the field after coordinating with related units and social sub-agencies in five city areas.

Dinsos Head, Premi Lasari said its distribution was concentrated in urban village offices or community-approved places in remote locations such as Sub-district Social Welfare Workers (TKSK) and Family Hope Program (PKH) facilitators.

It was carried out door-to-door or home visits for beneficiaries who are elderly and people with disabilities.

"Residents only need to show their ID cards to the officer. It is continued with the verification stage via an application systemized automatically in the Kemensos. Afterward, they can receive cash assistance," he explained, Monday (9/12).

As for the information, Kemensos has distributed BLT BBM amounting to Rp 12.96 trillion starting September 1, 2022, which is aimed at 20.65 million Beneficiary Families (KPMs). In Jakarta, it is noted that as many as 165,895 KPMs will receive assistance in the first wave.

The target recipients themselves include KPM for the Basic Food Program/BPNT and the Kemensos PKH. The total assistance received is Rp 150,000 per month. It will be provided for four months, precisely from September to December 2022.

However, the distribution is divided into two stages. The first stage falls in September amounting to Rp 300,000 and the second stage in December amounting to Rp 300,000.

The data used is still based on the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS). Regarding the data on social assistance recipients, residents can check through the website: cekbansos.kemensos.go.id, and there is a feature 'Usul Sanggah'. They can check whether the data is included as a recipient of social assistance or not.

"Hopefully, it can lighten the needy's burden to meet their daily needs after the fuel price hike," he hoped.
