DPRD Chairman Prasetio Provides Assistance to Fire Survivors in Cikini

Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) Chairman, Prasetio Edi Marsudi, distributed assistance to fire survivors on Jalan Cikini Kramat, RT 04/01, Pegangsaan, Menteng, Wednesday (9/29) yesterday afternoon.

According to him, he took the time to see firsthand the condition of the fire survivors to give them encouragement and condolences.
"Yesterday, when I heard the news, I wanted to visit the location to see firsthand what needs are needed, talk to and entertain the residents affected by the disaster. This is because from morning to night, I have to attend several events, so only yesterday afternoon I was only able to directly visit residents,' he expressed, Friday (9/30).
Legislative Sets Executive Meeting on Proposed Names of Acting Governor CandidatesAccording to him, hundreds of affected residents had received assistance from various parties ranging from necessities such as food to proper clothing, age kitchens, medicines, as well as doctors and nurses, to traumatic counseling services for children.
"I will help build people's houses and invite all parties to work together to assist, thus they can quickly get back up," he explained.
He then advised everyone to be more careful with the red rooster and always be aware of the potential that could cause a fire, such as electricity, stoves, and so forth.
"Fire is an unpredictable disaster but at least it can be prevented and anticipated," he asserted.
Menteng Sub-district Head, Suprayogi explained that the fire occurred on Tuesday (9/27) and was triggered by a gas stove hose leaking from one of the kitchens of a resident's house selling porridge. It had burned around 16 houses and 41 dorms. As a result, 48hoiuseholds with 154 people had lost their homes and places of business
He also thanked the Jakarta DPRD Chairperson for helping and showing concern for residents affected by the fire.
"Alhamdulillah, the building materials provided are the most important for the residents. Besides building materials, we also received money assistance for recovery," he concluded.
