8 Employees of Civil Registration Dept. Demoted

Sanction expressly given because they are undisciplined, provide bad service and commit illegal levies

About 8 employees working in Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Department are proven to have several violations, such as undisciplined, break the rules until illegal levies. Two of them demoted from their post as chief executive for civil registry in urban village. While five other employees demoted as operator in East Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Sub-Department.

"Sanction expressly given because they are undisciplined, provide bad service and commit illegal levies. This is as a deterrent effect or warning for unruly employees," said Head of Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Department, Edison Sianturi, in the building of Indonesian Army's Mental Coaching Directorate, East Jakarta, Thursday (1/22).

3 Former Department Heads Demoted to Deputy Staff

Both chief executives for civil registry are identified as S from Pisangan Timur Urban Village, Pulogadung, and N from Guntur Urban Village, Setiabudi. Those were guilty because have provided service in the office room. Whereas, it should be done in the One-Door Integrated Service (PTSP) office.

"While five other operators did illegal levies to residents who wanted to process population administration," expressed former Head of North Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Sub-Department.

He uttered the stern warning also has been given to four other chief executives. If they still make the same mistake, they will be demoted. They work in Cilincing Sub-District, Kemayoran, Cakung and Makasar.

"We will demote unruly employees in our department. We warn them to provide service in the PTSP, instead of in office room," he asserted.
