At that time, he decided to set up a business. Ironically, he has no money at all to start a business and decided to look for business capital through online loans.

With determination and full of careful calculations, he finally founded the Kopi Rumah Teman cafe in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta on January 30, 2022.

"I chose a business in the coffee sector because the source of raw materials in the form of a family-owned coffee plantation in the village wasn't maximized properly. Moreover, coffee is the right choice to be managed in Indonesia with a tropical climate," he expressed, Friday (9/30).

In early April 2021, one of the assistants to the North Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security Agency (KPKP) from Kelapa Gading Sub-district named Hesa came to his cafe to buy coffee.

They engaged in conversation and the end, Hesa introduced the Integrated Entrepreneurship Program and offered Andreas to join as Jakpreneur.

Then he was offered access to permits such as Micro and Small Business Permits (IUMK), Business Identification Numbers (NIB), Halal certificates, and registration of Intellectual Property Rights (HKI) for free.

Including access to marketing by participating in bazaar events, both at the sub-district level, the mayor's office, and shopping centers. Even, Hesa also offered KUR capital from Bank DKI and capital from other banks.

"Thank God, I was continuously assisted in terms of licensing at no cost while participating in the Jakpreneur program. Permits that have been issued between IUMK, NIB for Halal, and HKI are in the process of issuing each of these agencies," he stated.

He joined the bazaar for the first time at Mall Kelapa Gading (MKG) for one week in a Christmas Market atmosphere. He was surprised after seeing the sales turnover that increased dramatically.

“The income during the bazaar is above my target. I'm more confident and strengthen my dream to become a successful coffee entrepreneur at home and abroad. It certainly brings pride to the KPKP Agency, which has always supported me in everything," he added.

Not only that, Kopi Rumah Teman once filled the bazaar event in Ancol during Jakarta's anniversary. Afterward, they were allowed to participate in the inauguration of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) and other major events.

Since then, Kopi Rumah Teman's income was stable above the target average.

“In August 2022, Kopi Rumah Teman was chosen to be one of the Best MSMEs out of 300,000 Jakpreneur participants. We are in the top 10 with the highest turnover of all participants who take part in the bazaar," he stated.
