Based on the expenditure group, the biggest contributor to inflation in Jakarta was the transportation group, which was 0.95 percent; food, beverage, and tobacco at 0.09 percent; and provision of food and beverages/restaurants by 0.04 percent.

Generally, the cause of rising inflation in September 2022 is the new price policy in the energy sector. Several important commodities that contributed to inflation in September 2022 were gasoline and diesel which became the main drivers of inflation in the transportation category with their respective shares of 0.772 percent and 0.022 percent.

Further, transportation services within the city are 0.079 percent, filter kretek cigarettes are 0.026 percent, air transportation services are 0.025 percent, and household fuel is 0.023 percent.
