Pedestrian Path at Kuningan and Blok M Improved

South Jakarta Administration plans to manage the pedestrian path at office and central business area. Some areas that will be managed are located in Kuningan and Blok M.

We have a concept to build the pedestrian path between the buildings

"We will manage the pedestrian line in Kuningan and Blok M due to high mobility of the pedestrian at the area," said Tri Kurniadi, S. Jakarta Vice Mayor, Monday (1/26).

His side, said Kurniadi, will hold the data collection and measurement the distance of the building fence and pedestrian path at the area. "We have a concept to build the pedestrian path between the buildings," he said.

It is aimed the pedestrians' right can be fulfilled by the construction. "The pedestrian path are still small and occupied by the PKL (street vendors), and it also dangerous if the motorist ride on the pedestrian. So, we will facilitate the pedestrian and prevent PKL and motorist to depriving them," he explained.

Kurniadi continued, S. Jakarta Administration will do approach to building management to provide place for PKL.

"We also asked their responsibility to provide 20 percent of their effective land to UKM (Small and Medium Businesses) as included in the use of land designation permit," he uttered.
