Rainy Season, 197 Roads Points Damaged

Heavy rain since last January cause hundreds roads in Jakarta damaged and potholed.

Based on citizens report and investigation at the field, reported a total of 197 roads were damaged and potholed

Jakarta Bina Marga Department recorded as many as 197 roads damaged because of inundated. The damaged roads are spread around 5 municipalities.

"Based on citizens report and investigation at the field, reported a total of 197 roads were damaged and potholed," said Yusmada Faizal, Head of Bina Marga Department, Tuesday (1/27).

Some of damaged roads are located near Beos Station and Taman Sari (West Jakarta). While in the north Jakarta are located on Jalan Yos Sudarso and Kelapa Gading, then at Jalan Permata Hijau and Kebayoran Lama (South Jakarta).

He also added, the handling at the rainy season will use the emergency handling by using cold mix (dry asphalt that equivalent as cement). "We will fix it by emergency handling using cold mix ," he said.
