N. Jakarta Administration Supply Logistics of Flood Victims Directly

Heavy rains since Friday night led some residential area in N. Jakarta inundated. As many as 4,327 citizens were evacuated. Without waiting longer, their logistic were directly supplied by N. Jakarta Administration.
The logistics were handled by the sub-district directly. We just help for additional needs, as many as 600 sardines can, ketchup and 15 boxes of instant noodles
Thousands citizens are come from 9 urban villages in 4 sub-districst in North Jakarta such as; Sukapura Urban Village, Cilincing, Semper Barat, Cilincing Sub-district, Koja Urban Village, Tugu Utara, Tugu Selatan, Lagoa, Rawa Badak Selatan, Koja Sub-district, Kebon Bawang Urban Village, Tanjung Priok Sub-district, and Pegangsaan Dua Urban Village, Kelapa Gading Sub-district. Their resident still inundated with 30 to 80 cm.
The citizens were evacuated to 65 refugee camps location. Some of them located at Gading Nias Apartment, Masjid Attaqwa RW 03, Pegangsaan Dua, Kelapa Gading, Stadion Tugu, Tugu Utara, Koja, and Sukapura urban village office, Cilincing.
High Rainfall, Cipulir Market SubmergedUccu Rahayu, Head of N. Jakarta Social Sub-dept. said, to handle the logistic, a total of 28 ton of rice were distibuted to the urban village and sub-district. Moreover, every sub-district that affected by the flood has the public kitchen to supply the citizens' food.
"The logistics were handled by the sub-district directly. We just help for additional needs, as many as 600 sardines can, ketchup and 15 boxes of instant noodles," he said, Saturday (1/24).
Executive Head (kalak) of N. Jakarta Disaster Management, Dedy Tarmidji said, currently, the citizens started to return to their homes due to the flood have receded.
"We will re-calculate the refugee's number at afternoon. From the last information, most refugees still located in Pegangsaan Dua and Tugu Utara," he said.
