The Jakarta National Broadcasting Commission (KPID) is about to hold the 2022 Jakarta Broadcasting Expo (JBeX) on November 9 to 10, 2022, at the Jakarta City Hall building, which aims to welcome the era of broadcasting digitization. It will take the theme of Collaborative Synergy of Broadcasting Personnel to Create Quality Broadcasting in the Era of Broadcasting Digitization.

Jakarta KPID Vice Chairman, Rizky Wahyuni said the JBeX event is held to introduce the digitalization of broadcasting to the public, especially televisions in Jakarta and Indonesia.

"We're currently entering the era of broadcasting digitization marked by today's ASO. That's why we hold this event, where one of the goals is to provide sufficient information to the public regarding broadcasting digitization. Because usually when we talk about digital, people only know digital internet," he expressed, in a written statement, Wednesday (11/2).

His party would introduce new digital televisions to the public in addition to the established televisions known to the public so far. As a PIC for JBeX and also in charge of monitoring broadcast content at Jakarta KPID, he stated, the market size of broadcasting in Jabotabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, and Bekasi) is the largest in all of Indonesia.

One of the important keys to the digitalization process marked by ASO was the termination process in big cities like Jabotabek. He explained if the ASO in Greater Jakarta was implemented properly, it would have big implications for the national broadcast industry.

This JBeX event was realized in collaboration with broadcasting stakeholders together to create a society that cares about broadcasting in Jakarta. It consisted of various series of activities, including a Broadcasting Exhibition, Declaration of Broadcasting Concerned Society, Broadcasting Extension Training Training, Broadcasting Literacy and Seminars, Cerdas Cerdas Cermat (Presenter Coaching and Competition), P3SPS (Broadcasting Behavior Guidelines and Broadcast Program Standards), as well as a stage. entertainment.

That is starting from the commitment to care for broadcasting by the government, strengthening community capacity through literacy, strengthening understanding of regulations by Broadcasting Institutions, and preparing the quality of broadcasting human resources through coaching and presenter competitions that we hold. Hopefully, it can be supported and the event runs smoothly," he added.

As for the information, the digitization of broadcasting will be marked by the termination of analog TV broadcasts or ASO (Analog Switch Off) to subsequently switch to digital TV broadcasting. The deadline is by Law Number 11/2020 on Job Creation, which is November 2, 2022.
