Heru Appoints Uus Kuswanto as Acting City Secretary

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono inaugurated Uus Kuswanto as Acting City Secretary and Marullah Matali as Deputy Governor for Culture and Tourism at the Jakarta City Hall, Friday (12/2).

He revealed that as a deputy, Marullah had the duty to fully assist the Acting Governor. That is to communicate with the central government and actively assist in formulating policies more broadly.

"I need him (Marullah) as deputy to see with me his bigger and more agile tasks. Thus, he is not shackled with highly technical tasks," he expressed.

He expressed his gratitude and appreciated his performance as City Secretary for nearly two years.

"And all this time, he has worked well. Surely, we communicate with each other for that," he added.

He was optimistic that he could well run the new tasks going forward with himself and the ranks of the Jakarta Provincial Government.

“There are more tasks that must be completed by us and the officials," he stated.

He then hoped that Uus Kuswanto as City Secretary could carry out their duties professionally, with a full sense of responsibility, and maintain integrity, thus they can perform better in carrying out their duties as servants of the state.

"He will serve as Acting City Secretary for a while. He can study Mr. Marullah's knowledge and will be guided for a while," he added.

The letter for taking the oath of office is contained in Presidential Decree No. 139/TPA/2022 on Dismissal and Appointment From and Within the Positions of Middle High Leaders within the Jakarta Provincial Government.
