We'll go together to deliver donations to Cianjur

Jakarta MUI Chairman, KH Munahar Muchtar said the meeting was to strengthen silaturahmi (communal bonds) with the Acting Governor.

"In the meeting, the religious organization administrators in Jakarta submitted a proposal to combine all donations for survivors of the Cianjur earthquake collected by the mass organizations and in collaboration with the Jakarta Provincial Government to be distributed," he expressed.

Therefore, the Jakarta MUI urged all mosque administrators in Jakarta within these two this Friday to set aside 50 percent of their charitable contacts specifically to help earthquake survivors.

"We have already issued a notice. One door has an account, later after the money is collected, it will be delivered and released from the City Hall. We'll go together to deliver donations to Cianjur, thus it is hoped that other regions will also do the same thing," he added.

Jakarta DMI Chairman, KH Makmun Al Ayyubi explained that his party also supports a very good idea in order to build togetherness and solidity to help earthquake survivors in Cianjur.

"When we unite and build public trust that this is what invites Islamic organizations with humanitarian goals," he explained.

Jakarta PWNU Chairman, KH Samsul Ma'arif added that the idea of raising funds together to help earthquake victims in Cianjur was very clever.

"We propose that this be disseminated to mosque administrators and continued to residents before Friday prayers, that half of the charity box funds be set aside to help earthquake survivors in Cianjur," he closed.
