Acting Governor Heru Observes Communal Reservoir Services in Marunda Kepu

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono did a working visit to monitor PAM Jaya services in Marunda Kepu Village, RW 07 Marunda Urban Village, Cilincing Sub-district, North Jakarta.

As many as 200 heads of families in that location are enjoying clean water through the communal reservoir services or water tank method.

"I've seen two houses that have running water. Thank you PAM President Director for serving locals here," he expressed, Friday (12/16).

Before piping, he explained, residents must access their clean water needs from water kiosks in residential areas. After the piping is complete, they no longer need to bother transporting clean water from the water kiosk.

"I also entrusted the mayor and sub-district head, thus this facility is maintained. There will be a few more points that will be served like this," he added.

PAM Jaya President Director, Arief Nasrudin uttered that the communal reservoir or water tank method is effective for areas that have not been connected to the piping. In the future, there will be nine other locations where pipelines will be connected using a similar method.

"Before 2026 - 2030 all pipelines, this communal reservoir will be an alternative. Hopefully, by March 2023, as many as nine locations will be completed," he asserted.

RT 08/07 Marunda Urban Village Resident, Dasmini admitted that she was very happy with the communal reservoir piping service. Previously, residents could only use water kiosks or water-carrying traders who went around the village.

"For about seven months, we have been waiting for this service to be realized. Alhamdulillah (Thank God), the water is now fast flowing straight to the house," she stated.
