Indonesian Red Cross' Monthly Fund Exceeds Target

The West Jakarta Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) has successfully collected the  monthly fund as much as Rp 3,78 billion within 6 months, precisely since in June 2014-January 2015. 

This year, our monthly fund has exceeded the target. We promise to use it as well as possible and report it transparently

West Jakarta Indonesian Red Cross Chairman, Firdaus Mansyur disclosed the current monthly fund has exceeded the target by Rp 3.76 billion or 100.88 percent. The amount is planned to be donated to the needy, like disaster victims.

"This year, our monthly fund has exceeded the target. We promise to use it as well as possible and report it transparently," he uttered, Thursday (2/5).

Last year, he expressed, the basic food aid had been distributed to the flood victims, ranging from 80,298 packaged rice meals, 1,319 boxes of water mineral, 2,115 packs of family kit, 5,831 boxes of instant noddle, 12,804 breads, 1,126 packs of baby food, 235 packs of baby diapers, 916 blankets, 710 mats, and 432 tarpaulins.

West Jakarta Mayor, Anas Effendi, who also serves as Committee Chairman of Indonesian Red Cross' Monthly Fund, gave an appreciation on the achievement of the monthly fund this year. He hopes in future, its amount could increase than this year.

"Thus, the fund can be used for useful things. Thank you very much for the participation of all parties," he said.

As for the agencies that collect the highest fund, are Secondary Education Sub-Department, Spatial Planning Sub-Department, Water Management Sub-Department, Bina Marga Sub-Department, Kalideres Sub-District's Community Health Center (puskesmas), Palyja, Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Kebon Jeruk  Sub-District, and Grogol Urban Village.
