2,622 Vehicles in East Jakarta Undergo Emission Tests Throughout 2022

It is held eight times a year

The East Jakarta Environment Sub-agency (LH) has recorded that as many as 2,622 vehicles have undergone emission tests this year. 2,327 of them passed the emission test and 295 failed.

East Jakarta LH Sub-agency Head, Wahyudi Rudianto said the emission test was divided into three program activities, namely free emission test program, legal arrangement and outreach, and urban air quality evacuation program (EKUP).

For the free emission test program held at the LH Sub-agency and sub-district offices, 535 vehicles underwent emission tests. 453 of them passed and 82 failed.

"It is held eight times a year," he said, Wednesday (12/21).

Then for legal structuring and outreach activities, 262 vehicles underwent emission tests. 200 of them passed and 62 failed.

According to him, it was four times a year involving the police and the Transportation Sub-agency.

As for the EKUP program, as many as 1,825 vehicles underwent emission tests. 1,674 of them passed and 151 failed.

He explained that besides emission tests, roadside monitoring activities were also carried out, including measuring air quality and calculating vehicle speeds.

In this program, his party sent 14 personnel of ASNs and PJLPs assisted by police, Transportation Sub-agency, and Satpol PP.

"To do the test, we use two pieces of test equipment for gasoline-fueled vehicles and one diesel-fuelled unit," he closed.
