Transjakarta Prepares Additional Buses on New Year's Eve

PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) is preparing 70 additional buses that will optimize the night transport fleet (Amari) during New Year's Eve 2023. Transjakarta will also operate until 2 AM on Sunday (1/1).

The aim is to avoid a buildup of passengers

PT Transjakarta Operations and Safety Director, Yoga Adiwinarto said that on New Year's Eve, he also prepared additional buses to serve routes to several New Year's Eve celebration centers such as Bundaran HI, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), and Ancol.

"The aim is to avoid a buildup of passengers. So, at around 1.30 AM, the public can immediately access Transjakarta bus services," he expressed, Friday (12/30).

LRT Jakarta to Operate Until 2 AM During New Year's Eve

According to him, the dozens of additional buses were focused on serving the central location of the crowd on New Year's Eve. The buses will be alerted on Saturday (12/31) evening.

He added that the main additional buses would be stationed at the New Year's Eve Festival site along Jalan Jenderal Sudirman - Jalan MH Thamrin.

"Once the fireworks display is over, the bus will immediately enter the Sudirman - Thamrin area. This additional bus also strengthens the regular 63 Amari bus service," he stated.
