Komisi E Ajak Warga Ikuti Vaksinasi Booster Kedua

Commission E Invites Residents to Take 2nd Booster Shot Service in Jakarta

The Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) Commission E invites residents to take the 2nd booster vaccination service intensified by Jakarta Provincial Government.

This is the government's effort to continue to protect and maintain people's immunity

Commission E Member, Idris Ahmad supports the 2nd booster shot service which is currently recommended by the government. It is also believed to be effective in increasing the body's immunity from the threat of Covid-19.

"This is the government's effort to continue to protect and maintain people's immunity," he expressed, Thursday (1/26).

He reminded residents that this vaccination is the same as immunization which aims to maintain immunity. Therefore, vaccinations will continue to be held periodically for public health.

"The government needs to do more outreach by involving community and religious leaders. The public is given an understanding that this vaccination is a shared need to protect each other," he explained.

He explained that Indonesia is currently starting to be visited by foreign tourists who of course have undergone strict screening. Therefore, the public does not need to worry about the existence of other types of viruses if they have been vaccinated.

"This is not about tourists coming to Indonesia who carry the virus, but this is to maintain the health of our bodies," he added.

The similar statement also came from another member, Abdul Aziz. He assessed to intensify the 2nd booster shot, consistency and transparency from the government were needed because people are now smart and know what is important for their body's health.

"That's why, socialization and encouragement from community and religious leaders are also needed to provide understanding to the community," he stated.
