Jakarta Vice Governor, Ahmad Riza Patria attended the Regional Work Meeting (RAKERDA) for the Indonesian Real Estate Company (REI) Jakarta 2022 which took place at the JS Luwansa Hotel and Convention Center, South Jakarta, Thursday (9/8).
We encouraged them (REI) to provide housing consistently with a green property approach
"We encouraged them (REI) to provide housing consistently with a green property approach by paying attention to the challenges of climate change by maintaining the natural environment and facilities through a green infrastructure approach. This is in line with the city leadership's U20 agreement on affordable and sustainable housing investment," he expressed while delivering his remarks, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.
With the issuance of Law number 3/2022, he added that the capital of Indonesia would be moved to Nusantara City, East Kalimantan. As believed by various groups including observers and researchers, the relocation would diminish the potential of the City of Jakarta.
Commission D Encourages Jakarta Administration to Build More Flats"It was supported by President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo during his state address in August 2019 that Jakarta will remain a development priority and will be developed as a center for business and financial activities on a regional and global scale," he explained.
Therefore, he prompted Jakarta REI to take advantage of this momentum by improving various things in the city of Jakarta, including maintaining and developing the property industry in the city of Jakarta. According to Vice Governor, in the second quarter of 2022, Jakarta's economy continued a higher recovery of 5.59% (YOY), an increase compared to the previous quarter's growth of 4.62% (YOY).
"Jakarta's continued economic recovery is supported by increased mobility and community activities along with the ongoing booster vaccination program, National Religious Holidays (HBKN), and various events taking place in Jakarta," he furthered.
He explained that the administration would hold socialization about Gubernatorial Regulation number 31/2022 on the Detailed Spatial Planning of the Jakarta Planning Area to external parties such as the central government (Ministries/Institutions and BUMN), BUMD, academics, associations, Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), and representatives of private company leaders.
The regulation was issued to accommodate efforts to synchronize cross-sectoral regulatory norms and to be ready to be integrated with the service system used in the business and non-business activity licensing application process, as mandated in the implementing regulations of the Job Creation Act.
It also integrates national and sectoral development policies and accommodates the dynamics of development in Jakarta, so it is hoped that it could increase the investment potential of the property business in Jakarta. Therefore, REI should be able to take advantage of the policy and support the Jakarta government's goal to provide decent and just housing, as well as an independent environment.
On the same occasion, he appreciated Jakarta DPD REI holding the regional work meeting and hoped that it could create ideas, innovations, and concepts, and synergize with all related parties, especially with the Jakarta government to provide housing for Jakarta residents.
"Let's build it, let's organize a better Jakarta city that is safe, comfortable, decent to live in, green, cares about the environment, and builds good communities and interactions between residents. Besides producing the infrastructure of skyscrapers, what is much more pending is to bring Jakarta residents who can be role models, interact with all residents, and help each other with the residents," he stated.
