The Jakarta Provincial Government through Jakarta Communications, Informations, and Statistics Agency (Diskominfotik) together with Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) initiated a Journalistic Workshop for Public Relations of Jakarta Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) at the Yusuf Ronodipuro Auditorium Building, RRI Jakarta Building.

Jakarta RRI Head, Ida Ayu Evi Handayani expressed today's workshop is an implementation of Jakarta Government cooperation through Diskominfotik with Jakarta RRI.
"In the future, we want that the contributors from public relations in OPD and public relations in five cities and one district can contribute to news broadcasts on RRI Jakarta," she said, Thursday (2/16).

"The workshop today is held for the first time. Maybe, there will be a second, third batch of workshops, etc in the future," she explained.
Public Communication Division Head, Nuruning Septrida hoped that it was able to give courage and ability to public relations for OPD and sub-agency in conveying information to Jakarta residents through their respective activities.
If the information provided is accurate and actual, the level of public trust in the government will be higher.
"We feel that the public relations agency for OPD and the sub-agency must have the capacity as reporters. Hope the participants can practice the knowledge of this workshop in the field," she explained.
He added the cooperation with RRI was carried out because this radio is one of the central government channels that is trusted by the public and has wide reach.
Through RRI, it was hoped that activities and information about the Jakarta Government could be more widely disseminated.
"We will evaluate this workshop starting from its effectiveness and practice in the field," she continued.
As for the information, this workshop was attended by 60 participants from Jakarta OPD and was supported by experienced resource persons from RRI with various materials.
