In January 2023, there was already a pregnant woman who had a caesarean surgery. Then in by the end of this February and March 2023, there will be five residents who undergo caesarean surgery.
"There are patients from Panggang Island, Kelapa Island, and Tidung Island," he explained.
He explained that currently the Seribu Islands RSUD can only carry out planned operations or cannot yet carry out emergency operations. It is due to limited infrastructure and human resources, especially experts.
"This surgery room is not only for caesarean operations, but can serve other surgical operations," he added.
After the room functioned, the number of patient referrals to mainland Jakarta was expected to be reduced. Moreover, it can increase the needs and facilities for patient health servicesx thus they are more quality, fast, safe, and comfortable.
"In the future, we will continue to improve the services, both in terms of quantity and quality," he stated.
