1,188 Tourists Visit Sakura Beach on Untung Jawa Island

Sakura Beach is still a favorite of local tourists

As many as 1,188 tourists visited Sakura Beach, Untung Jawa Island Urban Village, South Seribu Islands, Sunday (1/29) yesterday.

Seribu Islands Tourism and Creative Economic Sub-agency (Parekraf) Head, Puji Hastuti stated that most visitors to Sakura Beach were residents of Tangerang, which is located close to Untung Jawa Island. They only need to take a taxi boat from Tanjung Pasir to Untung Jawa Island.

"Sakura Beach is still a favorite of local tourists, with lots of rides such as banana boats, donut boats, and a wide expanse of white sand," he expressed, Monday (1/30).

He furthered that the high number of visitors could not be separated from the arrangement efforts that had been made. Previously, regular weekend tourist visits were only in the range of hundreds of visitors.

Untung Jawa Island Urban Village Head, Supriyadi explained that the arrangement was carried out by adding children's playgrounds, arranging beach area infrastructure, and preparing Japanese Villages. In addition, his party has already carried out cleaning several locations in the island area with residents.

"By doing so, hopefully, it will attract more tourists to come," he stated.
