Disparekraf Enlivens 2023 ASEAN Tourism Forum in Yogyakarta

The Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Parekraf) is participating in the 2023 ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF), which is held at the Jogja Expo Center, Yogyakarta from February 2-5, 2023.

This year's Jakarta promotion begins through the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2023

The ASEAN Tourism Forum is a prestigious event for tourism actors in Southeast Asia. This biggest annual tourism event is one of the means to promote Jakarta as one of the leading tourist destinations in Indonesia.

Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency Head, Andhika Permata welcomed the 2023 ASEAN Tourism Forum as the right moment to promote Jakarta tourism at the Southeast Asian level.

He stated that Jakarta's participation in the 2023 ASEAN Tourism Forum also supports Indonesia's agenda to become ASEAN Chairmanship this year.

"This year's Jakarta promotion begins through the ASEAN Tourism Forum, on this occasion participants from ASEAN countries will be introduced to a variety of leading tourist destinations in Jakarta. Participants can also choose attractive tour packages in Jakarta," he expressed, Friday (2/3).

He explained this event was expected to be put to good use by the tourism industry to promote its business lines such as, accommodation providing businesses, food and beverage service businesses, tour and travel services businesses, businesses organizing entertainment, and recreational activities to MICE.

Besides promotion, it could also be used as an opportunity to expand networking, especially in selling tourism packages/products ownedx thus it is able to attract more domestic and foreign tourists to Jakarta.

"Thus, this advances the tourism industry through business sessions and promotions," he added.

As for the information, there are two sub-agendas that will be implemented at the Travel Exchange, namely business to consumers (b to c) and business to business (b to b). Potential sellers at the ATF event consisted of 400 people from 10 ASEAN countries. As for buyers came from 33 countries with a total of 250 buyers.

Several tourism industry actors are also brought in to enliven the 2023 ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF), including Tugu Kunstkring Paleis Resort, Shangri-La Hotel Jakarta, WITA Tour Travel Bureau, Damai Indah Golf, Ciputra Hotel Jakarta, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, and Betawi Cultural Village Setu Babakan.

Even MSMEs under the Parekraf Agency through Jakpreneur participated in introducing MSME products, including Melookmel, Superego, Happify, and J'nama.
