City to Facilitate Replacement of Flood Victims' Document

The flood that hit Jakarta for several days probably damaged or washed away the citizens' important documents such as identity card (KTP), family card (KK), and birth certificate.

We will automatically provide service for the victims and associate it with KTP Mobile

To facilitate the flood victim, Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Department (Dukcapil) ready to hold the administration service (adminduk) for flood victims in capital. The damaged or lost of citizen's documents will be replaced for free.

The service is scheduled to be held in the flood affected area, and it will be run automatically and associated with KTP mobile.

Flood Receded, PLN Lights On All Capital Area

"We will automatically provide service for the victims and associate it with KTP Mobile," told Edison Sianturi, Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Department Head at City Hall, Tuesday (2/17).

Sianturi added, before deploying the service, his side will conduct a survey to the flood affected areas. After that, the service will be held to the areas with proactive system.

"We will concentrate the service to flats and flooded areas. And we will come to every RW to give the service after the flood receded," he explained.

According to Sianturi, the administration services will be held 14 days after the flood receded because the citizens are still busy to clean their house and take care of their property assets.

"We will go after 14 days because the citizens still concentrate on cleaning their house for now," he added.

Actually, his side has not received reports of citizens' documents are missing or damaged so that the service is considered not too necessary for now.

"We don't received citizen's report of the documents missing or damaged until today. Moreover, this year's flooding was not as bad as last year. So, maybe their document still safe," he stated.
