North Jakarta PMI Closes Evacuation Post in Plumpang

The North Jakarta Branch Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), officially closed the evacuation post at the Pertamina Depot fire location, Plumpang.

They were not evicted, but they have been provided with a rented house

North Jakarta Branch PMI Chairman, Rijal said the evacuation post was closed considering because of  no more fire survivors evacuating since yesterday.

"They were not evicted, but they have been provided with a rented house funded by PT Pertamina," he expressed, Saturday (3/11).

His party took part in helping fire survivors move from evacuation posts to rented houses, including preparing the daily needs of residents, ranging from cleaning equipment, food, and bedding.

Tonight, his side would open a communication post with the local municipal government. The command post was set up to make it easier for refugees to get the necessary information.

"This communication post is open for 24 hours in order to prevent unwanted things between refugees and city government, including PMI," he explained.

North Jakarta Administration and People's Welfare Assistant, Muhammad Andry thanked PMI for cooperating optimally in handling the fire survivors at the location

"Alhamdulillah (Thank God), we have worked together, so the residents are handled well," he stated.
