Best Places for Ngabuburit on Lancang Island

Entering Ramadan, many residents take advantage of the time before breaking their fast or called ngabuburit by visiting several interesting places.

One of them is Gusung Klanceng Beach on Lancang Island, Pari Island which has become a new tourist spot. The beach itself has 1,260 square meters wide that is often used as a playground for residents and tourists to wait for the time to break their fast.

Several locations can be visited, namely Lancang Island Karang Mangrove Beach Integrated Park, Klanceng Child-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA), and Lancang Island Fish Pond.

They are guaranteed to provide a different atmosphere, as they can listen directly to the waves while accompanied by the evening breeze.

Sari Rahmawati (11), a resident of RT 01/02, Lancang Island admitted she enjoyed playing on the sand and swings at Gusung Klanceng Beach with his friends every afternoon. Moreover, this beach also has white and clean sand because it is still newly tidied up.

"Usually, at 4 PM, I've been there with friends. While there, the time to wait for the Maghrib call to prayer doesn't feel long. Then I go back home when it's 5.30 PM," she admitted Friday (3/31).

Similar statement also came out from Azmi Shobirah (10), a resident of RT 01/01, Lancang Island who chose the favorite ngabuburit spot at Gusung Klanceng Beach and the fish pond.

"I often play in the fish pond because it's very wide. There is also a gazebo to sit around while throwing fish food. It is also closer if you want to go to the mangrove beach," she admitted.

RT 04/01 Lancang Island Chairwoman, Sri Mulyati added that on this island, there are many new ngabuburit locations that residents and tourists can enjoy.

Even, mothers also often hang out while looking for takjil on this island because it has many menu choices ranging from fruit ice, fried foods, and porridge.

As for the information, Ngabuburit is a term taken from the Sundanese language that means a tradition of engaging in activities to pass the last few hours before the breaking of the fast.
