Flood that inundated scores of areas in North Jakarta in early February does not only force thousands of residents to flee, yet it also broken thousands of civil documents belonging to residents who live in 31 urban villages.
According to Muhammad Hatta, Head of North Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Sub-Department, since the complaint post is opened on Wednesday (2/18), as many as 1,573 civil documents are broken due to flood. In details, they consist of 863 family cards, 435 birth certificates and 275 ID cards.
