Some 34 personnel of PPSU have managed to pick up around 9,567 kilograms of waste left over from Idul Fitri on Kelapa Island, North Seribu Islands, Seribu Islands.

Kelapa Island Urban Village Head, Muslim said PPSU personnel had been alerted since Sunday (4/22) to Wednesday (4/26) in order to clear waste after Idul Fitri in the neighborhood of residents' homes and coastal areas. The cleaning action began in the morning and evening.
"Every day, we pick up around 2,000 kilograms of waste type organic, anorganic, and residue," he expressed, Thursday (4/27).

"This is our routine activity. However, the volume of waste increases because many tourists come here," he said.
After being cleaned, the waste was then brought to the Kelapa Island Waste Disposal Site (TPS) to be sorted before being transported ashore.
Until now, personnel are still seen transporting waste to ensure cleanliness on both the coast and residents' settlements.
"We also keep urging residents and tourists who come to maintain cleanliness. Predictably, tourists will surge this week," he stated.
