Heru Encourages Education People to Educate Nation

The Jakarta Provincial Government held a ceremony to commemorate the 2023 National Education Day (Hardiknas) at Monas, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (5/2).

The National Education Day commemoration ceremony was attended by education personnel, including elementary school (SD) students, junior high school (SMP) students, and high school (SMA) students, students with disabilities, school principals, teachers, and education staff from community learning activity centers (PKBM) from all areas of Jakarta.

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono Budi Hartono, who became the Ceremony Inspector, gave appreciation and appreciation to three education staff in the Thousand Islands Regency for their dedication so far to educate the nation's life through education in the midst of limitations.

The educational staff who received the award were SD Pulau Harapan 02 Pagi and SMPN 1 Atap Pulau Sebira Principals, Jamil Fahmi; SDN Pulau Kepala 02 Pagi teachers, Hidayat; and education Staff PKBM 37 Untung Jawa Island, M Yusuf.

Besides expressing his gratitude and appreciation, Heru also invited three education staff to attend the main event commemorating the Indonesian Independence Day 78th Anniversary at the State Palace, on August 17, 2023.

"Thank you for your dedication and dedication to educating students in Jakarta and helping to produce a golden generation of Indonesia in the future. Hopefully, what I said before can be invited to the Indonesian Independence Day celebration at the State Palace in Jakarta," he expressed.

He went on to say that this year's National Education Day commemoration is the right time to reflect on every challenge and bold step that had been taken over the last 3 years.

"We can design the direction of travel to ensure continuity and sustainability. The screen that has been stretched shouldn't be folded again. All of us educators, educational staff, artists, and cultural actors, as well as students throughout the archipelago are captains of a large ship called Indonesia," he continued.

Then he journey must be continued, thus all children of the nation celebrate true independence in learning and dreaming.

Hence, he wants the entire young generation, especially in Jakarta, to take advantage of and participate in every level of education, from elementary to tertiary level. He also reminded students to celebrate true independence through diligent study to achieve goals.

"Hopefully, everyone can enjoy and follow education from elementary school to university. Study with passion. Let's celebrate this day with enthusiasm to continue the embodiment of independent learning, educate generations of Pancasila students who are smart, have character, and take Indonesia to jump into the future with an liberating education.
