When we have time, we will do sweeping to other schools
The Action Bergizi Movement is an invitation to young women to routinely take blood booster tablets once a week to maintain their immune systems.
According to him, the tablets were given as a long-term health investment, thus expectant mothers could have healthy pregnancies during pregnancy and not give birth to children with the potential for stunting.
City - BPS Synchronizes Data for Socio-Economic Registration"I'm here to see and give encouragement, thus younger siblings, especially female students, get additional tablets. This is a series of efforts by the Jakarta Provincial Government to prevent stunting from an early age," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.
He appreciated SMPN 51 for carrying out this activity well. The activity of giving blood booster tablets to female students was routinely carried out in junior and senior high schools.
"Thank you SMPN 51, the activities have been going well. Surely, when we have time, we will do sweeping to other schools. The point is to encourage students, thus they don't get into a stunting position. And here they are healthy," he explained.
Jakarta Health Agency (Dinkes) Head, Widyastuti explained that the program had started when junior high school students were in grade 7 until they graduated from high school.
"This is not just outreach, but nutritional actions have been ongoing starting from grades 7, 8, and 9 junior high schools and grades 10, 11, and 12 high schools. There is a blood supplement program that is taken once a week. One of the good steps from SMPN 51 is to drink it simultaneously after breakfast," she expressed.
She explained that all schools in Jakarta have received the distribution of blood booster pills once a week. He also advised young women to pay more attention to their health as early as possible.
"We do recommend that young women and adults if anemia is indicated should take blood booster pills. One of our measuring tools, apart from young women at school, we screen the bride and groom," she stated.
