While enjoying the entertainment presented on stage, visitors can also enjoy Betawi culinary delights, buy a variety of interesting souvenirs and bring home a variety of unique Betawi accessories that are sold at the bazaar.
"All residents who miss the crowds of Lebaran Betawi-style residents, this is the time to return to making the Monas area a gathering place, while entertaining themselves by enjoying various attractions," she explained.
As for the information, this Lebaran Betawi is an annual agenda whose ideas purely come from the Betawi people, and is organized by the Betawi Trustees Association (MAPKB).
Technically, the implementation is supported by the Jakarta Provincial Government, as well as social organizations and studios that are members of MAPKB.
So many parties are involved, so it's no wonder that Lebaran Betawi is called the people's party, as it is presented by the results of the synergy of local government and residents, for the residents. The committee estimates that this event will be flooded with tens of thousands of people every day. Lebaran Betawi, not only provides a space for hospitality, but also a strong determination to maintain tradition.
"Lebaran Betawi is the way the Betawi people interpret hospitality after Eid. Gathering requires space and time, especially in Jakarta, which holds the title of megacity. The people are busy working, so sometimes they forget to greet each other. In this festival, not only Betawi people, but fellow Jakartans can meet and interact with each other, including with elements of Jakarta Government," she stated.
