Good News, New Building for South Seribu Islands Health Center Begins Operation

After being renovated last May 2023, the South Seribu Islands Sub-district Community Health Center can finally start operating to serve residents.

Thank God, we can use the new building

The health center, which is located at Jalan Pantai Selatan, Tidung Island, RT 03/02 has reoccupied a new building a week ago.

South Seribu Islands Sub-district Health Center Head, Ilmi Tri Indarto said the this health center renovation lasted for about a year and was completed at the end of April 2023.

During the renovation, the health center's health services continued by renting houses from local residents.

"Thank God, we can use the new building. Last Friday, we also held a celebration to mark the completion of the renovation of this building," he said, Monday (5/22).

He explained the building itself has a wider building from the original 520 to 1,019 square meters.

"This building was expanded by combining the old building with the teacher's dorm," he expressed.

There are also additional room facilities, such as inpatient rooms for men, women, and children, including isolation rooms, postpartum rooms, laboratory rooms, and others.

"It was changed from two floors to three floors. I thank the elements involved in the planning and construction of this new building," he added.

RW 02 Chairman, Tidung Island, Mahri (42) expressed his gratitude because the puskesmas building that he had been waiting for could be occupied again. This new building is deemed wider and cleaner, thus residents who visit are more comfortable.

"Very happy, the health facilities on Tidung Island are back to functioning. Patients do not need to jostle anymore," he closed.
