Cultural Festival in Central Jakarta Expects to Enliven City's 496th Anniversary

The Central Jakarta Culture Sub-agency is about to enliven Jakarta's 496th anniversary by holding a Cultural Festival in eight sub-districts across its territory.

Central Jakarta Culture Sub-agency Head, Moh Nurdin said he said the Cultural Festival would involve various types of coached art galleries.

"We'll support it and adjust the needs for performances and types of art according to the requests of the sub-districts," he said, Thursday (6/15).

In the event, his party would provide performers, stages to art galleries with the concept of a cultural parade.

"This support is a form of our synergy with eight sub-districts," he expressed.

Cempaka Putih Sub-district Head, Fauzi added the Cultural Festival will be held at the end of June 2023.

"We'll hold one day in the courtyard of the Cempaka Putih Sub-district Office after the Jakarta's anniversary celebrations at the provincial level are completed," he explained.

Besides displaying art, his party together with the Central Jakarta Small and Medium Enterprises Cooperative Trade Industry Sub-agency (PPKUKM) will also hold a bazaar.

"Hopefully, it will grow our love for culture in Jakarta," he hoped.
