The East Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency targets to complete the arrangement of Prumpung Public Cemetery (TPU), Jalan DI Panjaitan, Cipinang Besar Utara, Jatinegara by the end of June 2023.

East Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency Head, Djauhar Arifien said the cemetery was arranged to prevent misuse of facilities by locals. Previously, they used the place for chicken coops, trader carts parking spot, wild huts, to tents and places to dry clothes.

"We controlled them last week. Due to the many problems, we will involve a team from the city level for optimal problem solving," hw expressed, Friday (6/16).

According to him, the problems surrounding the Prumpung TPU area had even been discussed during a regional coordination meeting (Rakorwil) chaired by East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar last Thursday (6/15).

"This TPU area had actually been controlled in 2016. But, lately, it's back to messy and must be rearranged," he added.

For this reason, he called on residents to comply with regulations and use TPU for public burial areas. Beyond that, his party would carry out arrangements with an integrated team at the city level.
