City's 496th Anniversary, Three Parks in Central Jakarta Being Beautified

Three parks located in Central Jakarta are seen being beautified in order to welcome Jakarta 496th anniversary.

Central Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency Head, Mila Ananda said the three parks that will be beautified are located in the yard of the mayor's office, Bank Indonesia area, and Arjuna Wijaya Statue or Patung Kuda (Horse Statue).

"We decorate the park with colorful plants to make it more festive," she expressed Wednesday (6/21).

Her party prepared 7,953 polybags of ornamental plants in this park decoration, with details of 2,500 polybags of yellow and orange marigots, 500 polybags of purple celosia, and 2,000 polybags of red celosia.

"There are also 200 polybags of palm cabbage and 153 polybags of kadaka," she explained.

His party also added river stone and natural stone ornaments under the plants along with ornaments that read Jakarta's Anniversary.

"We started decorating the park two days ago by deploying 20 personnel," she added.

He hoped that this beautification of these three parks could add a festive impression to Jakarta's anniversary celebrations.

"Hopefully, Jakarta can be more lively," he hoped.
