The South Jakarta administration enlivened the celebration of Jakarta's 496th anniversary by holding various interesting activities at Taman Jangkrik RPTRA, Ciganjur, Jagakarsa.

Jagakarsa Sub-district Head, Santoso said the event was held in two days from today to tomorrow with various activities. Among other things, Jakpreneur Bazaar, blood donors, Betawi art and cultural performances and interesting competitions.

Jakarta's Anniversary Event Committee Chairperson, Ali Imron Hutagalung added there were several interesting performances in this activity such as gymnastics, dances, qasidah, Gambang Kromong (traditional Betawi musical ensembel), and cutting cone-shaped rice dish tumpeng.
"Hopefully, it can spur our enthusiasm in developing Betawi culture," he stated.
