Idul Adha Long Holiday, 183,000 Train Tickets Sold Out

Entering the Idul Adha holiday, thousands of train tickets were sold out by residents who wanted to return to their hometowns or out of town.

Most orders are made on favorite dates such as June 27, 28, and 29

PT KAI Daop 1 Public Relations Manager Acting Head, Feni Novita Saragih stated as many as 183,000 train tickets had been sold with a departure period from June 27 to July 2, 2023 from Gambir Station and Pasar Senen Station.

"Most orders are made on favorite dates such as June 27, 28, and 29," he expressed, Wednesday (6/28).

Based on the data collected, the passenger occupancy rate has reached 86-100 percent with the highest departure volume on June 28.

"The public need not worry. Because on certain dates there are still quite a lot of train tickets available. For instance, on June 29 and 30, as well as July 1 and 2," she explained.

Thus far, there are several areas that have become favorite destinations for passengers. Among them are Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Purwokerto, Kutoarjo, Semarang, Tegal, Solo, and Bandung.

"These cities are still favorite destinations for passengers," he said.
