45 Joint Personnel Join Mud Cleanup in Gelora

Dozens of joint personnel assisted by locals took part in the Gerebek Lumpur (mud cleanup) activity held in RW 02, Gelora, Tanah Abang.

There are 45 joint personnel involved here

"Gerebek Lumpur is a routine agenda conducted rotation in the village every week," expressed Central Jakarta Government Assistant, Denny Ramdany, Sunday (7/9).

The cleanup involved joint personnel from Central Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency, Environment Sub-agency, Parks and City Forest Sub-agency, Transportation Sub-agency, and PPSU.

"In total, there are 45 joint personnel involved here," he explained.

Gelora Urban Village Head, Nurul Huda uttered it was centered in RT 02, 06, 07, and 08/RW 02. Besides dredging the channels, the personnel also pruned trees.

"As a result, we collect a truck full of garbage and mud," she added.

RW 02 Chairman, Gelora, Bahrudin hoped that it should be a routine activity in order to make people more aware of the importance of protecting the environment.

"This is good. Hopefully, it can be a routine agenda every week," he closed.
