Six Months, 6,269 Trees in West Jakarta Pruned

The West Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency has noted that as many as 6,269 trees have been pruned from January to June 2023.

We do this action also maintain the beauty of the area or environment

West Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency Head, Romy Sidharta said tree pruning is a routine activity conducted in green belts, roads, parks, residential areas, etc.

"4,424 trees are pruned at light level, 1,283 are pruned at medium level, and 562 are pruned at heavy level," he expressed, Wednesday (7/12).

According to him, it would minimize the incidence of trees falling during heavy rains accompanied by strong winds.

"We do this action also maintain the beauty of the area or environment. So, we urge residents to report trees that are in shady or fragile conditions for pruning," he stated.
