Acting Governor Heru Budi Hartono, Quality Role Model for Jakarta ASN

The transition period for the leadership of the Jakarta Governor has now been running for 260 days. The Acting Governor is currently held by Heru Budi Hartono, one of the best civil servants belonging to Jakarta Provincial Government. His involvement in government cannot be doubted.

The President mandated Presidential Secretariat (Kasetpres) Head, Heru Budi Hartono, who was originally a bureaucrat under the Jakarta Government, to lead Jakarta now.

His career as a Jakarta Government official began as Head of Regional Head Bureau and Foreign Cooperation (KDH KLN) and then was appointed Mayor of North Jakarta and several other bureaucratic positions in the Jakarta Government until now he became the Acting Governor.

According to him, Jakarta needed service-oriented leaders and he proved he could do it. Moreover, as Acting Governor, he could also act as a bridge between regional policies and the central government.

"He has the advantage of being able to communicate the bureaucracy related to the center to the regions. Not many can multitask, but I see that he is quite capable, maybe he has traveled the world, has a long track record. We can see what he does quite well," he explained.

Aside that, during the transitional period of Jakarta's leadership which was developing rapidly, he was quite adaptive and adjusted to his work. Thus far, the policy is still pro-community.

"It's rare for anyone to adjust to their position in two different places. He also has good communication with the public," he furthered.

Fakta General Chairperson, Ary Subagio explained that he was able to make great breakthroughs in Jakarta and was deemed brave enough to carry out anti-mainstream policies.
