National Children's Day Festival in Seribu Islands Goes Lively

The Seribu Islands Child Protection Empowerment and Population Control Sub-agency (PPAPP) held the 39th National Children's Day Festival (HAN) at the Plaza Kabupaten, Pramuka Island, North Seribu Islands.

In the event, children looked happy and enthusiastic in participating in coloring contests, listening to fairy tales, playing traditional games, and reading books.
Seribu Islands Deputy Head, Muhammad Fadjar Churniawan said children have the potential and continue the ideals of the nation's struggle which has a strategic role.

"The future of our children is in our hands now. The better the quality of children, the better the future life of our nation," he expressed, Wednesday (7/26).
He explained this HAN commemoration is set every July 23. It is also a form of protecting and fulfilling children's rights as the nation's next generation which needs to be improved together.
"It is held from central to regional level," he explained.
Seribu Islands PPAPP Sub-agency Head, Simon Baginda Pardomuan added it aimed to enhance the role of pioneers and rapporteurs in creating a safe and comfortable environment for children.
It included providing education for children and parents about preventing child abuse and motivating children in Seribu Islands to actively develop their respective territories.
"This year's HAN commemoration was attended by 100 children, consisting of children with disabilities, children's forums at sub-district to district levels and students from elementary to high school levels," he explained.
It was enlivened by handing over the Toddler Family Development Kit (BKB) to PAUD Al Manah, storytelling, talk shows, bazaars, reading corners, children's counseling, and declaration of Indonesian children's voices.

Rabiatul Adwiyah (16), a student from Madrasah Aliyah (MA) PKU Tidung Island said he was happy to take part in the HAN Festival on Pramuka Island. The talk shows in this activity were very easy to understand, and even provide motivation that could support their talents and interests.
"Very good, we are very enthusiastic," she stated.
