Panggang Island Urban Village, North Seribu Islands continues to intensify the Dapur Sehat (Healthy Kitchen) program for babies and toddlers with indications of stunting.
The program has been able to reduce the stunted children to 54 percent
Panggang Island Urban Village Head, Muhammad Fakih Burhanudin said this program is a form of synergy between PKK cadres and Panggang Island Urban Village Health Center with Seribu Islands PPAP Sub-agency in a bid to reduce stunting rates.
He assessed the program had succeeded in reducing the number of stunting cases in his area from 46 to 21 children.

According to him, once a week the PKK cadres assisted by RPTRA and Posyandu caretakers distributed nutritious supplementary food to children with stunting symptoms, as well as educating parents on a good diet menu for toddlers.
"For toddlers with stunting symptoms, they get lunch every day according to the needs suggested by the Nutritionist Health Center. Technically, we involve posyandu and PPK cadres to RPTRA caretakers," he explained.
Siti Khadijah (36), the parent of a 10-month-old toddler, a resident of RW 02 Panggang Island, admitted she was happy that her child was getting additional food in the form of boiled eggs, milk, and green bean porridge.
"Of course, it helps the nutritional intake of children. Hopefully, this program can be an annual program," she concluded.
