Seniors and Children in East Jakarta Receive 53,895 Social Assistance Cards

Its distribution will be conducted in stages

East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar, symbolically distributed 53,895 assistance of four-type cards to residents. He gave 433 cards for the elderly and children in the hall of the Ciracas Sub-district office, Tuesday (8/22).

He revealed the card distribution is in the context of welfare for the residents' basic needs. Out of a total of 53,895 assistance cards, they consisted of 44,847 Elderly cards, 2,756 Jakarta Children's cards.

Then 5,565 Disability cards and 727 Child and Adolescent Care cards (KPARJ) whose parents died of Covid-19.

"Its distribution will be conducted in stages. Today, at Ciracas Sub-district office, I gave 433 cards for seniors and children. The rest were distributed in stages," he explained.

He then advised card recipients to use it properly, as needed.

"Don't use it to buy credit, buy cigarettes, and so forth. It must be used properly according to the needs of children. For example to buy milk or other things," he stressed.
