"It is done to prevent unwanted things," he expressed.
He hopes for public support to report findings of dangerous or chaotic utilities. Officers will follow up on every resident's report, thus there are no more victims of road users due to utilities.
"So far, this August, seven points have been controlled based on residents' reports. Because of that, we really hope for resident participation in reporting dangerous points," he asserted.
North Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency Head, Ilham Raya added from the search results, it was known that not all aerial cable utilities on roads were licensed. Often, his party also found several aerial cables that were not used but were not cleaned up by the owner.
"It wasn't long ago that we put things in order on Jalan Bugis area. We routinely have a sweeping team tasked with controlling things," he stated.
